Does $500 extra make me a super affiliate?

A few weeks back I promoted a powerful keyword research and content building tool to one of my newsletters. The vendors were offering an additional incentive to encourage their affiliates to work hard: a cash prize of $1,000 to the most effective affiliate during the 7 day launch window, $500 to the next most effective and $300 to the 3rd most effective.

So I was very pleasantly surprised this morning to find that I'd won second prize.
