How to plan an ebook
I spent this afternoon alternating between writing more content for an ebook and working out the best way of assembling all the components of an online marketing system for it.
It's always tempting just to write and then bring together the key components like sales pages, data capture forms, download pages, shopping cart systems and so on afterwards but the most effective marketers are already thinking about these things before the complete the product. Specifically as a strong believer in the power of affiliate marketing coupled with viral marketing elements, I want to build something into my content that will build a long-term income stream for me on the back of a good quality ebook about a high-interest topic.
I've now worked out the backbone of the system I want: it will be viral. It will have an affiliate program - probably 2-tier. And it will be easy for people to enrol.
In terms of my own AdSense income, it will also include links back to specific examples on my site such as this one.
